Gulf Coast Soccer joined the NSCAA Club Standards Project in the Spring of 2014. The Club Standards Project was developed by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) to provide youth clubs with a template or standard to strive for to become a "Model Soccer Club" and to provide optimal player and coach development programs to its members. The objective of the NSCAA Club Standards Project is to raise the standards and expectations for club and player development at the youth level. Member clubs are evaluated on their current performance in the critical areas of:

  • Coaching Development
  • Player Development
  • Club Administration

THE NSCAA Club Standards team conducted an assessment of our club in the spring of 2014 and issued a report and recommended course of action to become a Model Soccer Club for our members. One NSCAA recommendation was the hiring of a full time professional Technical Director which was achieved with the Announcement of Robert Parr as the clubs first full time technical director. Implementing the ideals of the Club Standards Project, Gulf Coast Soccer is committed to using nationally recognized best practices in all areas of player, coach and club development. With the help and guidance of Robert Parr we know the future is bright for our club.
